Website design and development

# Custom website design
and development.

Custom websites for businesses, artists and independent makers.

I design and build websites that introduce your work clearly and make it easy for visitors to get in touch. We agree the content, visual direction and functionality together.

What I can build

## Something useful for your users.

### A first website

Your work, services, photographs and contact details in one clear place. A single page can be enough to start.

### A redesign or a larger site

A considered structure for several pages, with layouts that work on phones and computers. We discuss how you will maintain the content.

### Forms and integrations

Enquiry forms, bookings or connections to other systems, scoped to your actual needs. For a more substantial product, explore application development.

Founder and sole developer

## eternalfriend.io

I founded the platform for artists and crafters and develop it on my own. It brings together my experience as a maker, product design and day-to-day software development.

Development and leadership

## Developer.
Collaborator.
Technical lead.

I have more than 20 years of production software experience. As lead developer, I built Jetpack Workflow from the start to thousands of daily users; at Nadine West I led a distributed Rails team.

I can work directly on development or join your team. If you mainly need an architecture review, an upgrade plan or support with technical decisions, I also offer consulting.

How we begin

## First the goal,
then the work.

- Discuss the users, problem and goal.

- Agree the scope, approach, price and timeline.

- Development, review and agreed next steps after launch.

Before we start

## Common questions

What does a custom website cost?

The price depends on the number of pages, content, design and integrations. Send a description of your business, the purpose of the website, your preferred date and an approximate budget. We agree the scope and quote before work begins.

Can you redesign an existing website?

Yes. We review the existing content, page structure and what visitors need to do. Content migration, forms, hosting and ongoing support are agreed as part of the scope.

Do I need a website or an application?

A presentation website introduces your work and helps visitors contact you. User accounts, business workflows and a separate software product call for application development.

Direct contact

## What should your website do?

Tell me about your work, your audience and what visitors should be able to do. Include an existing website if you have one, your preferred timing and an approximate budget.
